push legislation requiring members of Congress make their federal tax returns public record while serving in Congress.

Created by R.B. on January 07, 2013

Taxes are an inconvenient necessity in order for government to function properly and individual tax burdens can vary greatly depending on income level, tax write-offs, and loopholes. Members of Congress, being responsible for writing and passing tax laws that affect all Americans, should be above reproach when it comes to their own federal tax burden. Therefore, we petition that members of Congress be required to fully disclose, and continue to disclose for public viewing, their federal tax records so long as they are members of Congress.
