Instead, they should be paid according to the median household income of the United States, which is around $50,000 a year.
This amount of money is representative of Americans across the country and not just the professional elites who earn much higher salaries. The fact is, most Americans fall in a low tax bracket.
Government of the people, by the people, should receive a salary of the people.
Let them work 2-3 jobs and cut corners, as they are so often glad to tell hard working Americans to do.
