Push NY, NJ, and PA to restore passenger train service from Scranton & Mt. Pocono to NYC

Created by E.L. on September 11, 2015

It is important that we learn the status of the commuter rail project expected to run from Scranton to the Poconos, through New Jersey, and into Penn Station, 34th Street, Harold Square in NYC. In the past twenty years that we have been promised commuter rail service, we have driven miles to get to work or we have settled for the high prices and the two hour commute via Martz Trailways bus service. We need to end the monopoly Martz has on commuter service to and from the Poconos and we need commuter train service that will have reasonably monthly rates to allow Pennsylvania citizens to cross into NYC every day.

This rail service is beneficial because it will:
1) Create jobs
2)Take thousands of drivers off Interstate 80
3)Help local economies
