Push for the Mandatory Appointment of Special Prosecutors in cases involving defendants who are Police Officers.

Created by K.Y. on December 04, 2014

There is a clear conflict of interest in cases involving Police Officers due to the intrinsic daily work relationship officers have with the State Prosecutors and the District Attorneys. This conflict of interest has been explicitly demonstrated in the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Victims of Police brutality and excessive use of force deserve a fair shot at justice and the previously stated conflict of interest should not be a barrier.
Therefore please create/push policy or regulations stipulating the appointment of Special Prosecutors in cases involving police defendants and victimized citizens.
Furthermore Please partially or fully fund these efforts and make these appointments mandatory or at least at the discretionary request of the victim or the victims family.
