With conflict between what states accept concealed carry permits from other states, why shouldn't there be a national standard? My driver's license is valid in all states, why shouldn't a concealed carry permit be? With Illinois' ban being found unconstitutional, soon, all 50 states will have a form of concealed carry. The government should look into having a shall-issue permit standardized across the country. As it is, we have to pay to have our second amendment rights to either possess or carry a weapon in public, why should we have to pay several times over because we decide to travel a state over and still want to feel safe? My Second Amendment rights don't end at my doorstep, and they shouldn't end when I cross the threshold into another state.
