This is a petition to the President of the United States of America to take a stand for the people and push for a nationwide vote on whether to legalize marijuana for recreational and medicinal uses while regulating and taxing it like alcohol, or to keep it as a Schedule 1 substance. Give the people a chance to make their own decision on the legality of marijuana; a government that is "for the people, by the people" must give the people a chance to vote on issues concerning American society. By allowing US citizens to vote on this issue, we will get to determine what the people truly want.
