Push for new federal legislation that sets standards for and enforces breaks and meal breaks while at work.

We petition the federal government to sign into law standards in regards to breaks and meal times for time worked while at a place of employment. Paid fifteen minute breaks should be required by law to be issued to employees for every four hours of work. Unpaid thirty minute breaks should be required by law to be issued to employees for every six hours worked. This should be the national standard for every business operating in the U.S. big or small, private, or corporate.
