push for passage legislation which would reclassify dogs used by the military as veterans instead of equipment

Created by J.M. on January 29, 2013

We urge this administration to push for passage of the Canine Members of the Armed Forces Act or similar legislation that would classify dogs used by the military as veterans and guarantee that they were brought home. We have many soldiers that suffer from debilitating injuries such as PTSD, which dogs have been shown to help heal. These dogs are used to the soldiers and would be a great asset to there recovery. We need to no just discard these animals that have help us in our time of need.
