Members of Congress should not be paid during government shutdowns. They continually threaten the jobs of many Americans because they stratify along party lines and can't work together to come up with solutions. Thus it is time for Congress to not get paid when they don't do their job. If they want to make the people suffer then they should also be proposing that they suffer with the people they are supposed to represent.
The threat of government shutdown and using it as a bargaining chip is clearly becoming a trend from our representatives. Please push for Congress to vote so that future Congresses also suffer when they are proposing to make the American people suffer.
