The current shift toward renewable energy and electric cars only solves part of the overall global warming issue. The air travel industry consumes a vast amount of the carbon energy and there is still no viable alternatives today.
We want the Obama administration to push for solutions such as building of High Speed MagLev systems similar to the Transrapid system in Germany. The high speed MagLev trains will provide an alternative to air travel which is also cleaner and could become a faster alternative eventually.
