THIS PETITION PUSHES FOR RE-RATIFICATION OF THE 14TH (XIV) AMENDMENT.
The original ratification was invalid for 2 reasons:
(1.) The Southern "states" that ratified the 14th Amendment were not "States" because they had left the Union and had not yet been readmitted.
(2.) The Southern "states" "ratified" the 14th Amendment under 2 types of duress: (a.) The were under military occupation by the North and (b.) They were told they would not be readmitted to the Union unless they first ratified this amendment.
This petition is being brought forward by The Wisdom Society (located in greater Rockford, Illinois).
