Push for a reasonable term limit in the House of Representatives and in the Senate.

Created by C.C. on November 14, 2012

Currently, terms in the Senate last 6 years, and terms in the House last 2. There is no limit to the number of times that a citizen can serve in either the Senate or House. Some states passed laws creating term limits for their own representatives, but the Supreme Court ruled these unconstitutional. We ask that the President push Congress to pass an amendment establishing reasonable term limits. If Congress is unable to pass the amendment, we ask that the President aid the states in forcing an amendment through.
