Push the reintroduction of the Puerto Rico Democracy Act so that the people of Puerto Rico can choose their future.

Created by J.P. on September 25, 2011

In 2010 the Puerto Rico Democracy Act passed with an overwhelming majority through the House of Representatives. It then proceeded to be neglected by the Senate and died when the 111th congress adjourned.

The people of Puerto Rico pay federal taxes and have a right to choose their place in our country. It is crucial for the continuation of the American way of life that this current taxation without representation ends.

Therefore, we petition that the Obama Administration make it a priority to advocate the reintroduction of this bill and to put public pressure on our nation's senators to ensure that the people of Puerto Rico are no longer neglected their right to representation.
