push for the repeal of H.J. Res. 104 (102-14), which violates the First Amendment's freedom of religion clause.

Created by K.L. on March 09, 2016

H.J. Res. 104 (102-14) states that a set of principles known as the 7 Laws of Noah are the basis for civilized society and that they are the principals on which moral education should be based. The law further links these principles, and the late Lubavitcher Rebbe, with a national Education and Sharing Day. The 7 Laws are a specific religious code explained in the Talmud, and possibly alluded to in some early Christian texts. These laws include bans on homosexuality, sex outside of marriage, & idol worship (according to the Talmud's definition of idol worship, so most of the world's religions would be banned). They also require the death penalty for violating these bans. H.J. Res. 104 (102-14) favors one religious belief system, prohibits others, & threatens our civil and human rights.
