push for restrictions on federal pension and retirement benefits for presidents and congressmen.

Created by J.P. on January 16, 2013

push for a bill that requires all benefits and pensions be based on the income and lifestyle that the president or congressman earned in the private sector before entering congress or the presidency. Because congress will never vote to curtail their plush life, add a grandfather clause to protect current members, but make sure all subsequent senators, house members, presidents and other high executive officers are truly public servants and not unscrupulous members of society seeking cushy lifetime incomes, benefits and lifestyles. Higher benefits should only be for active members of government, and such positions should not be sought after to create lifetime costs to the rest of the taxpayers.
