Push for the " Right To Record " bill

Created by D.F. on July 26, 2015

The "right to record" bill is a tool to protect us as we exercise our civil right to film law enforcement activity as long as we don't interfere with police business. This police oversight bill includes a measure that carries a fine up to $15,000 in civil penalties. If a law enforcement officer seizes or destroys a citizen's recording or interferes with someone trying to film them. As we all are aware of there are many videos and news reports of officers forcing people to give up the camera taking it by force and destroying possible key data to a case.
