Many government officials serve for multiple terms, some for decades or entire careers. These long term elected officials amass power disproportionate to other, newer, officials of equal position. The long term holding of elected positions also reduces the breadth of experience and opinions that are represented.
Limit the number of terms any individual can serve in any individual elected position. The limit should be similar to the limit on presidential terms.
