During the last several years, this congress has shown us the exact reason that term limits are needed. On both sides of the isle, this congress' members have only worked to serve their own interests, and have blatantly ignored their constituents consistently. Enacting term limits would make it easier for we, the American people, to oust incumbents, would put more focus on legislative elections and would make congress people more responsible to their constituents.
Gallup polls have recently shown that 75% of American adults want term limits for their congress people, in both the House and the Senate. Within each party, term limits have majority support; 82% among Republicans, 79% among Independents and 65% among Democrats.
There's wide support for this, enact term limits now!
