The fight to get reelected term after term is an incredible waste of time and money. With term limits in place, members of congress would be forced to work and would be able to vote outside of party lines since the need to be reelected is removed. This would also reduce the long term "partnerships" with big donors. Capping election spending would level the playing field and allow us to elect a president based on ideas and not who has the best marketing campaign.
