Push towards the removal of large donations from politics.

Created by S.V. on November 19, 2011

Because of the large amount of public support and donations during his 2008 presidential campaign, President Obama is in a unique position to relate to the idea of the people making small donations en masse towards a political campaign. It is in this spirit that we welcome regulation in all arenas of corporate interest and lobbying in our financial system.

The public has proven to support those politicians asking for the mandate of the people to carry out their wishes. However, individuals and corporations utilizing campaign funding and PACs are vastly outspending the average voter of the U.S., often times subverting their needs. We are calling upon the President to make campaign finance reform a staple of his 2012 campaign, and call for an end to excessive corporate involvement.
