Push for a U.S. Constitutional Amendment to ban the use of filibuster type rules

Created by E.R. on July 17, 2013

The filibuster rule used in the U.S. Senate is one that allows and promotes anti-governance. It allows any party to block consideration (or vote) of any bill on the floor.

In very recent years, JUST THE THREAT of filibuster prevents a vote. Which is unlike the history of filibuster where a Senator has to actually take and hold the floor to filibuster.

This Senate rule is NOT in our U.S. Constitution, and is partly responsible for the gridlock in our nation's governance.

This proposal should be worded to prevent the filibuster or ANY SIMILAR rule in both houses of Congress.
