Put a $2.00 a gal cap on gas and diesel.

This economy has suffered ever since Katrina hit the gulf coast, and the oil industry used it as an excuse to rapidly raise the cost of gas per gallon. During the quarter after Katrina they reported billions of dollars in profits. The US economy revolves around the gas pumps, when gas prices are as high as they have been the cost of business for everyone goes up, and the whole country suffers. The problem is our elected officials are doing nothing about it. For some reason its the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about and until gas prices are lower the economy is never going to recover.....
