I would like to see the government put a small additional tax on the sale of rifles, handguns, and ammunition, which would be put into a fund for school safety. Schools could then apply for grants from this fund, which could be used to install security equipment, including outside and internal intercoms, unclimbable fences, glass reinforcement, better door locks, metal detectors, etc.
