According to scientists at the National Institutes of Health- the world's largest source of drug abuse research - Alcohol is linked to cancer, coronary heart disease, addiction, and cognitive impairment. According to the CDC, alcohol is responsible for 79,000 deaths annually and is the 3rd leading lifestyle related cause of death in America.

According to scientists at the NIH - Tobacco is linked to cancer, emphysema, heart disease, and stroke. According to the NIH, tobacco is the leading cause of preventable deaths in America. Approximately 443,000 deaths are due to tobacco each year.

Simply put, alcohol and tobacco are not benign drugs. They should be classed as illegal or marijuana, which is not as harmful as tobacco or alcohol, should be legal. You can't have it both ways.
