Put an Alice Paul Monument Outside the White House Gate

Alice Paul was a prominent figure in both the women's suffrage movement and other women's rights causes, such as the Equal Rights Amendment. From 1917-1919, she and others organized Silent Sentinels to stand outside the White House gate and protest President Woodrow Wilson until women were granted the right to vote. Paul was unjustly sent to prison and force-fed. Public outrage at her treatment and the continued picketing eventually pressured the federal government into passing the nineteenth amendment. Nowadays it is completely normal for women to vote, but that wasn't always the case. In order to remember the struggle and honor Alice Paul, we believe that a statue of her picketing (as seen in this image: http://bit.ly/1QCQgqB) should be permanently placed outside the White House gate.
