Put all seats in Congress up for re-election in the event that Congress fails to agree on the federal budget.

In 2013, the Democrats and Republicans of Congress caused a standoff over the 2014 fiscal year federal budget. This led to an automatic funding cut across the entire United States government that heavily and detrimentally affected tens of millions of American citizens, citizens of our allied nations, and our standing abroad in a world that is recovering from a severe recession.
To avoid further disaster and to prevent our government from embarrassing itself to the rest of the world, much of which already has legislation in place to prevent this sort of thing, this petition proposes that if a budget plan cannot pass both houses of Congress before a sequester takes effect, every position within that Congress will immediately go up for re-election that will take place in one month's time.
