This petition proposes that elected and appointed officials of the United States are paid on a per diem pay system. Reinstating the per diem pay system will ensure that elected and appointed officials diligently fullfill the obligations of their appointed duties, serving the best interest of the United States of America. The recommended per deim rate initiated will be the median rate of minimum wage for the United States. This petition also, request the removal in full of the 27th amendment, protecting congressional pay from taking effect until after the next election of the representatives.
