We The American People have endured out of sight fuel prices for way too long. When It's Christmas they use war as an excuse to raise the price. When it's spring they use the seasonal fuel grade switch as an excuse to raise prices. Speculation on Derivatives on Wall Street has become a betting game that the American People cannot afford. therefore We The Undersigned do Suggest A Nationwide $1.75 mandatory price for Gasoline, With a gradual $.25 rise at the pump every 5 years. After which State and City Taxes could be applied. To make this work we ask that the commodities of Oil and Gas both be moved off the speculation table and be treated as a nationwide necessity for mankind's survival as they affect household income. In Times Of Economic Unrest we ask that the 5 year hike be frozen.
