We, as a nation, have come so far from who we once were when the electoral college was originally created. Our voting laws have changed, the number of people who are now allowed to vote was nothing like those first lawmakers ever imagined. Women, monorities, new citizens, we are all allowed to cast our ballot on election day. The electoral college is outdated and if we wish our country to truly move foward it is time our voting system changes.
It is time we become a true democracy, when one person means one vote, and far past time for that vote to COUNT. It is time we take back our voices and demand that we be heard.
