In today’s economy and record high unemployment rates, American’s are suffering from their inability to pay their financial obligations in a timely fashion. Many of those who are unemployed the only way out of the crisis is to get back to work. Many companies are using consumer credit reports in making hiring decisions. These decisions only look at your FICO and bad trade lines, without knowing the actual history that caused it. This practice prevents good hard-working American’s from becoming gainfully employed and denies them the opportunity to recover. This practice should be eliminated and allow potential employers to base their hiring decision on a person’s merits, not their FICO score.
