In light of the recent Sandy Hook tragedy, we need to look for reasonable solutions to deter this kind of thing from happening again. This horrible event has proven that gun free zones only stop law abiding citizens. Gun free zones are nothing more than criminal safety zones, where any criminal can be safe in the knowledge that they are the only ones with guns. I believe that when our children are at school it is the right and the responsibility of the teachers and the principles to be armed, so that they might be capable to respond and possibly avert or deter this from ever happening again. PLEASE repeal any and all legislation that creates gun free zones.
