Every day there are stories about how pharmaceutical companies are raising the prices on medications and drugs people need to live all in the name of profit. Their cost has not increased to justify the jump in price for consumers. Healthcare and treatments should not be a profit driven sector of our economy. People die because they cannot afford the medication or care they need. We need a government that will actually get involved and make sure we are getting a fair price. Claims that a free market works fine are disproven by the constant and nonstop increase in prices regular Americans have to pay to live in this country.
