put an end to sham charitable organizations

Created by M.P. on June 13, 2013

With the recent analysis of America's Worst Charities by the Tampa Bay Times, I've learned that I've donated money to two charities listed. I'm enraged to learn that my money went to fill the deep pockets of a few greedy individuals who hired professional marketers to willfully deceive me about how my money would be spent.

These are scam artists who take advantage of legal loopholes to steal money from generous, hard working individuals. Putting less than a penny of every dollar raised to the Charity's stated mission is criminal at best.

Organizations should not qualify as a legally recognized charity (thus making them exempt from the do not call registry) if they spent more than 35% of every dollar to raise funds.
