The music business has been very concerned with the theft of the average product by the average person using the world wide web to download thier product without paying for it. While this issue has led to the decline in sales, the real issue at hand is less the average person downloading music, but rather the individuals that are members of tribute bands (a musical group that imitates a former or current band or performer that was highly popular) and cover bands (a band that plays mostly or exclusively cover songs) who are weekly, and sometimes nightly raking in thousands of dollars for performing the songs written by others, without paying an individual royalty to the actual individuals who had originally written the songs.
