Current reporting states our infrastructure needs $2.2 trillion to repair or replace our aging pipes, roads, facilities, etc. As the wars continue to wind down, we could encourage the industries that are part of 'the Military Industrial Complex' to retool to make the necessary parts and machinery to accomplish this. Much of what they make already fits the requirements. We could move some of the DoD budget monies to this, and give our Veterans priority when hiring for these jobs.
Industry wins, jobs win, Veterans win, and 'we the people' win.
