Put federal pressure on the Michigan legislature to end its emergency manager law and its assault on local democracy

Created by C.A. on January 09, 2013

The people of Michigan are angry at Michigan's Emergency Manager laws which give Governor Rick Snyder the ability to replace any locally elected official with a "local dictator". The citizens of Michigan have had our rights to fair elections infringed upon and we the people petition the Obama Administration to take legal action against our state's anti-democracy laws

After the people outright rejected the local dictators law on November 6th, 2012, the Michigan legislature just went ahead and passed another one afterwards. Something needs to be done because to the Michigan legislature, democracy is just something to override, evade, or blame.
