Considering the Connecticut massacre, as a parent of two elementary school kids, I am convinced that there needs to be put forth more effort and organized strategy to protect the lives of our children. We have reached the point where there needs to be established legislation that would guarantee specially trained units to guard every school across America.
Additionally, teachers should be trained in following specific protocol during a terrorist attack. Just as fire drills are demanded by the state, attack drills are also needed now. American tax dollars must be invested in the most important part of the American future, our children.
