Put forth legislation to repeal unconstitutional sections of the 2012 NDAA.

Created by B.D. on November 20, 2012

We, citizens of the United States, will not stand by as our constitutional republic treds on our rights as they did when the 2012 NDAA was signed into law. We petition the Obama administration to put forth legislation to immediately repeal sections 1021 and 1022 of the FY12 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). These sections specifically suspend habeas corpus and attack the BIll of Rights. In addition, although the FY13 version of NDAA no longer uses the language described in sections 1021 and 1022 of the FY12 version, but it does nothing to stop the indefinite detention of US citizens. It only cites that habeas corpus is a right in courts created under article 3 of the constitution. This petition is also asking for FY13 NDAA to rule out the indefinite detention of US citizens.
