This petition is to ask for the removal of Andrew Jackson from the twenty dollar bill and to replace him with Harriet Tubman.
The currency of the United States does not respect the diversity of this nation. People of color and women are woefully underrepresented.
Andrew Jackson has a mixed legacy. A legacy that recalls the genocide of America's native people. A legacy that America should move past and not embrace.
Harriet Tubman's legacy is that of freedom and the struggle for equality. Her legacy reflects what makes America great, and we need to do more to honor those values.
