India has flooded the US market with cheap imports during the last 10 years, thanks to the increase in internet use, the local saddlery makers in small time USA are suffering terribly, we have to pay taxes, pay our employees a fair wage, overtime, we have so many laws and conditions to take care of, but India has no labor laws that are applied fairly, they are polluting the rivers and oceans because they bribe officials who look the other way. These cheap imports are dangerous and very harmful to our environment and are treated with very harsh chemicals.
The American people do not know this, they are being fooled. I was an importer myself, but I have discontinued further orders to India, and instead am trying to help the local saddle maker community with orders, but its very hard.
