Other countries have been building and maintaining high-speed passenger trains for decades, while the United States is decades behind. Republican governors have been canceling high-speed rail projects in their states, and Republican operatives have been stymieing the efforts of Democratic governors to see such projects through in their states. Republicans would just as soon scrap what intercity rail we already have! Tell President Obama to remember his pledge to get high-speed rail in America up and running and let opponents of rapid rail know that we've had enough of their obstruction! We have to start building high-speed rail NOW!
