The politicization of the recent tragedies by well meaning groups and individuals will serve little to end such tragedies by focusing on gun control and 2nd Amendment rights. Moreover it is only the realization and acceptance that we have a MENTAL HEALTH EMERGENCY in our nation that will serve our Government in both the Executive and Legislative branches to take true and meaningful steps to quickly address this very real issue. Laws and regulations must be quickly put in place which will allow Law Enforcement and Healthcare officials to quickly identify and isolate these individuals and place them in an environment where they are no longer a threat to themselves or others while receiving directed and meaningful treatment.
