Put the Jimmy Carter solar panels back up on the roof of the White House to promote renewable energy and sustainability.

When Ronald Reagan took down the solar panels that Jimmy Carter had put up, he sent a message to the non-renewable energy industry that they had the power to do what they want (regardless of environmental impacts) and that the government was behind them and did not care about sustainability. It also sent a message to oil rich countries that they could get rich doing business with us (in effect creating rich terrorists). Oil companies and other non-renewable energy organizations do not need government subsides at this point. They make record profits while tax payers pay for it at the pump. It is time for this cycle of dependency to end and for renewable energy to light up the skylines of our cities and towns. This Administration has a duty to positively influence the energy industry.
