We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Put into law restricting any president from enacting more than one Executive Order per term.

Created by J.B. on September 23, 2016

This administration, more than any previous one, has taken the unilateral, elitist bag of tricks to an entirely new level. The use and implementation of Executive orders over the past eight years in favor of congressional compromise and bipartisan purpose has reached dangerous heights. A precedent is being set for future administrations that if they want to get something done, who needs congress, just live like a king and pass it into law yourself. We as Americans know it is this exact frame of thinking which our Founding Fathers fought against and our ancestors shed their blood to change. A dictator passes rules and laws without the consent of the people or their representatives. We are traveling down a slippery slope that unless acted upon, will surely doom our Republic.
