PUT LIMITATIONS ON WHAT NEWS STATIONS CAN BROADCAST WHEN MASS SHOOTINGS ARE INVOLVED.

Created by L.G. on October 09, 2015

Mass shootings are becoming common now and laws putting restrictions on guns aren't helping. Mental health plays a part in these shootings but it's also the media's fault. The media puts these killers in the spotlight which just leads more mentally unstable people to follow in their footsteps to try and become immortalized on the news. If all news stations were to have limits set on them like: Not being allowed to show the killers name, not being allowed to have 24/7 coverage of the story, and even not being allowed to show photographs of the killer, these mass shootings would happen less often. As Dr. Park Dietz has repeatedly said, "...every time we have intense saturation coverage of a mass murder we expect to see one or two more within a week."
