The length of legislation passed in today's Congress is unacceptable. Congressional members have no way of making informed decisions about the legislation. A limit on the size of bills presented to Congress would help provide transparency to our government and speed up the legislative process. It would also allow important issues to rise to the top easily. If this petition has a limit, so should all legislation!
The US Constitution is less than 6000 words. Some of the current legislation is upwards of 1 million words or more!
Everyone knows hidden agenda is passed through the lengthy bills and Americans don't want to be bullied around anymore.
Any current legislation longer than the proposed limit(10,000 words) would be required to be repealed and reformed.
