As of 2013 the government is only funding 17.7 billion dollars into the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This may seem like a lot of money, but it is only 0.48% of the governments budget. We are paying only half a penny on our tax dollar to fund NASA. Think of the difference it would make if we all payed just one penny.
If space really is the final frontier, then shouldn't more focus, time, and money be put into the space program?
We the people of the United States propose that NASA's funding be raised so that we can continue to explore the unknown as we have always done.
