Put the NICS online and allow law-abiding gun owners to sell our own firearms.

Created by D.K. on January 17, 2013

I agree with needing every firearm purchaser to have a backgrouind check completed on them. This does not infringe my right to keep and bear arms. However, making law-abiding gun owners complete their private sale at an FFL is unacceptable. The federal gov't and the President has the power to set aside money for a NICS website where any law-abiding citizen can check the status of an individual they might sell their legally purchased firearms to. This will allow federal regulators to pursue individuals who fail this check that get away with purchasing firearms on the secondary market or "gun-show loophole". It should also decrease the gun violence in this country.
