Put our children before our fries!

Created by G.M. on September 24, 2013

McDonald's workers get paid more than staff working in residential treatment facilities (RTF). When children become a safety risk to themselves and others in the community, RTF are the last line of hope for them. The staff at RTF devote their lives, while risking their own safety to work with children who often hit, kick, punch, and bite as an expression of the abuse that they have endured. These staff personnel are poorly compensated but remain in these jobs out of their love and commitment to helping hurting children. According to the National Center for Juvenile Justice, 79,165 juveniles were placed into 2,259 residential treatment centers in 2010. As a society, isn't it time that we stand behind those who serve love over those who serve fries? [No disrespect to the fast food industry]
