On April 21, 2016, America lost a musical genius, an unparalleled showman, a humanitarian and a legend of live performance when Prince Rogers Nelson passed away at his home ("Paisley Park") in Chanhassen, Minnesota. As an instrumentalist, vocalist and performer, quite simply nothing compared to Prince.
At Paisley Park, Prince recorded dozens of albums, put on scores of shows and gave his genius to America and the world. Paisley Park should be preserved to safeguard Prince's legacy and America's so that future generations may learn of his genius, his talent and his good works. Paisley Park should be placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
While life is just a party and parties weren't meant to last, America should make sure that Prince's legacy at Paisley Park does.
